This update is figuring out WHY you should be exercising. Many people know they should be exercising, but never go about actually setting about "why" they should exercise.

Lets face it, we have all heard numerous times that we should exercise.

The weakest statement you could make to yourself is:

"I know I should exercise"

There is no motivation behind that statement. You will tell yourself that and then say, yeah I know I should exercise but I have to do this, or that or... (enter excuse here)

Everyone knows that they should exercise, but few commit to their health and fitness.

What is "commitment?" commitment if the desire to follow through with your actions no matter what.

Have you ever been committed to a goal and you followed through no matter what happened? Your house could of been burning down, but you still committed and followed through with what you wanted.

You see, most people don't make it a MUST to exercise and get healthy, its still a "should"

Once you make it a MUST, you will commit to your fitness goals no matter what!

How do you get to the point that you MUST exercise?

You must get enough EMOTIONAL reasons to exercise and you must be able to easily identify your "WHY"

Why do you want to become more fit? Why do you want to lose that extra weight? Why do you want to lose 40, 50 or 60 lbs?

In order to lose the weight and become healthy, you must have an emotional reason to do so.

In order to get there, you have to have to get to the point where you tell yourself "I MUST exercise, because if i dont it will cost me this, this, this and this. There has to be an emotional intensity behind this beyond anything that you have every felt.

Once you have gone through this exercise, or finding your "WHY" and you have enough emotional intensity behind your reasons, then motivation and commitment to your fitness goals becomes easy. You will have enough emotional reasons behind your goals that you will always follow through.

Tips and Tricks for Rapid Weight Loss!


Tip #1 

Eat MORE to Lose weight 

In the Late eighties and early ninties, experts were telling us the best way to lose weight was to eat less and cut your fat intake. 
 
Th issue with this is that there is only so many caloriesyou can cut and not eat until your body completely starts feeding on itself and you are forced to eat more calories to make up for the deficit that you got your body into. 
 
Many people who have gone on a "starvation" diet know this all to well. They cut their calories every week until they are miserable, grumpy and lethargic. 
 
What happens is the dieter eventually will fall off the diet and continue with their old eating pattern and regain the weight that they lost and even more! 
 
Diets never work because you are creating more pain in the body then normal. Going on a diet will force the body to work against its own natural bio-chemistry and ultimately no matter how much will power you have, you will fail at dieting
 
Take a look at the word DIET - The first three letters "D-I-E" - are there for a reason, because it feels like your DYING! That's a clue that diets don't work!
 
Here is what does work - Eat MORE - Lose More weight! 
 
Our bodies are smart and throughout evolution our bodies have adapted to our environments. The key factor here is work with your bodies natural bio-chemistry. 
 
Our bodies need fuel to function properly - If they do not get the right fuel, the body stops responding - or response very poorly (being tired, lethargic, mood swings) 
 
Giving the body what it wants every three hours is an excellent way to release your bodies stored bodyfat. You are working with your bodies metabolism and getting it to work harder and harder - naturally your body will work harder at breaking down and releasing fat, because it doesn't need "stored energy" because you are fueling it with what it needs! 
 
So How do we do this? 
 
The basic way is to eat every three hours. As soon as you get up in the morning you need to be eating within 30 minutes. 
 
Each meal should be comprised of proteins/carbohydrates and fats. (Yes FATS are your FRIEND!)  
 
Meal timing should be every three hours. For example
 
Meal #1 - 6am
Meal #2 - 9 am
Meal #3 - 12pm
Meal #4 - 3 pm
Meal #5 - 6 pm
Meal #6 - 9pm
 
This is a perfect way of eating and allows the body to remove unwanted bodyfat quickly and efficiently.

Your Fitness "SYNTAX" - Lose Body Fat FAST and the RIGHT WAY!

Replacing those BAD habits with GOOD habits!

Did you know that everyday habits that are done over and over again create the person and the body that you have today?

We are the sum of our all our habits, good and bad.

Take a good look at your lifestyle right now. - Look at your patterns or habits. Are there things that you could be doing differently that would produce a different result? Most importantly take a look at your nutritional intake. There are things that with little effort can make a huge impact on your lifestyle, fitness and well being.

Our lifestyle that we lead can make a dramatic difference in our emotional and physical well-being. Other factors that effect your body and fitness levels are:

Living to Your Full Potential!

What does it really take to push your body to new physical heights and be able to experience a body that is full of life, vitality and energy?? 

Most people do not actually realize how they need to push themselves to get the results they deserve. 

The problem is that its not only the training that they must push themselves through, but they must also push through societies constant message of compliance 

While fitness professionals all over the world try desperately to change clients views on living a healthy lifestyle, other sources of influence tell them its alright to live a life without physical actvity and forget about a healthy lifestyle. 

For example - take a look at any 30 minute television show broadcast around the world. In a 30 minute time span the t.v viewer is bombarded with commercials and messages to go and eat that burger from A&W or go and purchase the latest high tech gadget that will keep everyone sedated and lazy. And this is only in thirty minutes. 

Most individuals watch way more then thirty minutes of TV. 

Society is telling us that living a life of mediocrity is way better then living a life of health and fitness.

Slouching Like A Cavemen!

Next time you’re out and about, check out the posture of people walking by. It is not surprising to see many incorrect and faulty postural positions. Many people look like they are walking like CAVEMEN!! The shoulders are slumped forward and the head is tilted out and down. OUCH! Can't be too healthy!

Many of the imbalances in our body can be fixed, but first we must take a look at 1) The cause, and then 2) taking a look at the muscular imbalances and 3) take corrective measures to fix them.

Let’s first take a look at the superficial muscles of the shoulder girdle.


Starting from the posterior we have four muscles called the rotator cuff muscles. The rotator cuff is a group of muscles that work in the shoulder joint to keep the humerus from popping out. This makes the Rotator Cuff critical for shoulder stability.

We also have the Traps or Trapezius. Trapezius gets its name from its trapezium-like shape; the corners being the neck, the two shoulders, and the thoracic vertebra, T12. The traps main functions are to elevate, retract, adduct and rotate the scapula.

The final superficial muscles in the shoulder girdle are the deltoids which are divided into three "heads" (Front deltoid, medial deltoid and rear deltoid) The function of the Deltoid muscle is essentially to move the arm away from the body:

The Front head raises it away to the front.
The Medial head up and away to the side and
Posterior head away to the rear.

So typically when I am working with a client I will take a look from the side to see how the shoulder girdle lines up in relation to the rest of the body.

95 percent of the time when clients come to me they have great shoulder instability which is the result of years of poor posture.

The first thing that I see is the shoulders are slumped forward. The majority of my clients fall into this category. We can attribute this to extremely weak and underdeveloped trapezius muscles and rotator cuff muscles and tight pectoral muscles (chest)

The majority of shoulder injuries happen because of untrained mid-fiber traps (muscles in between the shoulder blades) and tight chest muscles. This closes off the shoulder joint and often causes bursitis, shoulder impingement and rotator cuff tears.


The corrective measures taken to fix this situation are very simple. Depending on degree of degeneration in the mid-fiber traps a weight training program will be implemented to strengthen the mid fiber traps, the trapiezius and rear deltoid and then lengthen the pectoral muscles.

99.9 percent of injuries can be fixed using this method. If however you tear the supraspinatus, (The supraspinatus tendon muscle runs along the top of the shoulder blade and inserts via the tendon at the top of the arm) then surgery must be performed first and allowed to heal before any further weight training activates are to be resumed.

The client would also have to practice good posture outside of the gym as well. To fix a forward shoulder roll, the client must always walk with the hands by the sides, not by the front of the body. The client must make sure to pull the shoulder blades back so that the chest "pops" up slightly.

You have control of how you plan your day, what you eat, when you exercise, what job you have, where you live, what you think. 
 
The magic thing about our lives... is that if we don't like something we can literally rip of the script and start over. ..If you don't like the direction your health and your fitness levels are going, then you need to rip up your old life script and write a new one.
